„Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.“ is my favorite series of the Spring season and will probably also be one of my all-time favorites, so the Blu-rays are a must buy for me. The extras and the great image quality make the series really import-worthy.
Packaging:
The slipcase is quite thick because of the storyboard book and it got a little bit squeezed because of Amazon’s packaging (similar to the Angel Beats! BDs). I really like the cover illustration looks really great in my opinion.
Supplements:
– the complete storyboards of the 1st episode were compiled to nice book with about ~170 pages.
– the cover motive as a card
– the „booklet“ contains the lyrics of the 3 insert songs and it mentions the English translation of the name of the series: „We still do not know the name of the flower we saw that day“
The CD offers 3 insert songs:
1. REMEDIOS – Dear Love 3:56
2. REMEDIOS – Still… 5:15
3. REMEDIOS – I Left You 6:49
4. REMEDIOS – Still… ~Instrumental 5:12
I didn’t notice the insert songs much when watching the show but they fit perfectly to the series and the lyrics are in English!

BD Info
Picture Quality / Audio Quality:
The transfer are a definite enhancement to the TV broadcast and it looks really sharp for a TV anime. The backgrounds offer a lot of details and the only „problem“ I saw, is that the red bleeds slightly in Jintan’s T-Shirt. I think it really looks gorgeous on BD!
The audio track is a default PCM (24bit) and it sounded ok.
Menu Shots:
The menus are very simple and even the main menu is only slightly animated (as expected the flower is spinning).
Bonus Material:
– a web preview for episode 2 (21 seconds)
– an audio commentary with Ai Kayano (Menma), Miyu Irino (Jintan) and Haruka Tomatsu (Anaru)
