Trivia zu Folge 4 (chronologisch)

- In dieser Folge wird der Vorspann nicht gezeigt. Schon zu Beginn der Folge werden die Namen der Macher eingeblendet und dann wird nur kurz der Titelschriftzug eingeblendet und die Handlung geht weiter
- Während Kyon Haruhi vorschlägt, dass sie sich doch einen Freund suchen soll, sieht man den „Beginn“ einer Beziehung im Hintergrund:

- Haruhi bringt Ryoko selbst auf die Idee, etwas zu unternehmen, um die Entwicklung voranzutreiben:
- In den Animationen gibt es an einer Stelle in dieser Folge einen kleinen Fehler. Als Kyon Haruhi den Monitor wegnimmt, bewegt sich Haruhi durch einen Bereich, wo eigentlich die Kabel sein müssten:
- Ryoko spricht ein paar Worte rückwärts und in erhöhter Geschwindigkeit. Man meint, dass sie folgenden Worte auf jap. spricht: „Du liebst Kyon, oder? Ich weiß, daß du es erkannt hast!“ Ich war aber nicht in der Lage das zu überprüfen.
- Ryoko gelingt es übrigens tatsächlich durch ihr Handeln Haruhi wieder etwas zu beleben, da plötzlich wegziehende Mitschüler auch mysteriös sind. Sie hatte das natürlich etwas anders geplant.
- In der Vorschau ruft Kyon „Einspruch“:
Das könnte man wieder eine Anspielung auf Phoenix Wright sein, wäre ja nicht das erste Mal^^. - Der Ausspruch „Haruhi Suzumiya, ready…..go!“ könnte eine Anspielung auf Mobile Fighter G Gundam sein.

Beware of spoilers!!!
- Because of the lack of the opening animation the credits are shown in the actual episode and only the title image is displayed and then the story continues
- While Kyon advices Haruhi to get a boyfriend to make herl ife more interesting, the „camera“ shows the beginning of an relationship:Later the end.
- Haruhi gives Ryoko herself the idea, that something has to happen….
- The animations include in this episode a small error: When Kyon takes the monitor from Haruhi, Haruhi moves through an area where normally the cables should be located:
- In the battle Ryoko speaks some words backwards and in high speed. Some people say they can hear the following word in Japanese: You love Kyon, aren’t you? I know that you realized this!“. I wasn’t able to check this myself.
- By the way, Ryoko was actually able to create a reaction in Haruhi, because a suddenly „disappearing“ school mates are mysterious themselves. Needless to say Ryoko planned something else.
- In the preview Kyon screams „Objected!“:This could be another another reference to Phoenix Wright.
- The sentence „Haruhi Suzumiya, ready…..go!“ might be a reference to Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
